Who we are

ComparePMI is an independent private medical insurance advice and comparison service, operated by ComparePMI Limited — a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16755241) and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration ZC004255).

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We place cover exclusively with insurers that are themselves FCA-authorised and regulated. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or request a comparison, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you request a comparison we collect the details you give us — such as your name, contact details, postcode, who needs cover and any notes you add. For business enquiries this may include your company name and employee numbers.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your device type and how you use the site, to keep it working well and secure.

How we use it

We use your information to prepare and discuss your comparison, to obtain quotes from insurers on your behalf, to arrange cover if you choose to proceed, and to look after your policy afterwards. We only ever ask for what an insurer needs in order to quote.

Who we share it with

We share your details with the UK-authorised insurers and providers needed to quote for and arrange your cover, and with trusted service providers who help us run our business under strict confidentiality. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How we contact you

We contact you about your comparison using the method you ask us to. We will not bombard you with unrelated marketing, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Keeping your data safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we keep it only for as long as necessary to provide our service and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Your rights
